Three Of Hearts

Time for an extract from the Butter Mouse’s book. I appreciate that some of you will have to search your home for materials, but trust me, you will find something. Ignore his ‘pop to the shops’ command. Get on with your creative project safely please.

If you are using a virtual pack, find some online images of the cards you drew, download them, and create a shape on your desktop.  Art finds a way with your Butter Mouse creations.

If you’ve seen the card you will know what adhesive I used. You can read my flash fiction piece at the end of the month. And at last I will present my theory to you.

Hello everyone! I hope Springtime is treating you well, and the flowers are bouncing around. Unless you are starting this at a different time of year, or are in a different country to the UK. In which case warm up! Cool down! And get ready for a challenge!

This month we join together under the arts and crafts banner. Draw your four cards for the month. Sketch on them as usual. Then find some kind of hemi-demi-semi-permanent adhesive to keep them together.

Create some kind of structure using your cards. It could be as simple as a line of Queens strung on string. Make a mad club sandwich, or a temple filled with diamonds. Cyffrous!

Combine this with whatever you can see on this act of creation to tell your story. Maybe a hint of King will peek out. Perhaps PVA glue will stick to your fingers in a way that reminds you of school.

These are not absolutes. The most important thing is not your creation, but creation. Make sense? Da!

All our objects sit in their place in time and space in the world. And yet your ultimate creation links them together. Aren’t we all having fun?

Pob Lwc!’
