Intermission

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post something to explain why we have not put anything up for a while.

The Butter Mouse has been malfunctioning. A shock after seven years, but the truth.

We've tried to translate the results that have come through, but they have not made any sense. There have been ongoing issues with the output since day 263 of this year's story, but in the last month nothing but gobbledegook and symbols have appeared.

Sorry to pause your entertainment. I am pleased to confirm that we've had a glut of stories emerge in the last few days. We are sorting through everything at the moment, and will be back on schedule very shortly.

Maybe one day we will discover more about Venus and Deni, and that rotten old Butter Mouse. But from what we’ve read through are a lot of surprises to come….

The video clips were so weird. The content is odd and fuzzy. The sound is irrelevant or unsynched. Some have whispers and breathing that does match the setting. How would this be presented in a final form? My guess is some kind of kooky art project about dreaming.

The snow is not slowing down. A glowing fog joined the downpour, and the city streets turned into featureless white field.

All except that figure. Still watching. Still in direct eyeline with the door. Still possibly looking up.

I was happy to brave the snow. It would take about forty five minutes to get home in these conditions. However, I could not face that figure.

One more project will not hurt. If anyone shows up, I will say I was looking for a phone. If I find one, I may even use it.

Someone had tucked an woolen blanket into the space between a desk and the wall, and I wrapped it around myself. I crawled along the floor past plastic buckets of stuff. Boxes of VHS tapes. Piles of CDs. Cans of film reel.  I pulled another box out, and decided to pick something.

Four different folders lay within. One had dogs around a fire, with a tent in the background. Another was plain black, with crinkled receipts peeking out of the top. The third was blue, with a picture of the shark on the front. In final position was a battered green folder, with deep scratches along the spine.

I picked the dogs because

::This is as much as we could get out of this year. We are still unsure how this ties into our discoveries so far.::
