My routine is gluing together. The nervousness of last week has burned off now I know my way round the Stitch.
But the changes of pace are taking some getting used to. For example, today Link rescued about two dozen orange spheres. After popping through they floated around tank 1734 like peppercorns in a glass of water.
He tried to scoop one up for some routine checks, and to find a point of origin against the chart. But the second his net touched the new arrival, rainbow coloured foam shot out from a new monocle sized hole in the skin.
Within seconds new spheres grew within the colorful spray. Smaller at first, but before long they matched their mother in size.
Link dipped his net in less than ten times. He failed to catch a specimen, but soon tank 1734 danced with life.
I was restocking the drinks bear during his efforts, and wondered if this was my moment to switch to full marine support. But when I asked Link if he needed my help, he said it was too early. That he needed employees to learn the ropes before dealing with emergencies. Health and Safety. He remained super calm considering tank water spilled over his shoulders.
Very glad Link decided that if I am honest. I am happy stacking cans and giving directions at the moment. Still impressed how the vending bear keeps some of his selection freezing, and the others piping hot. He tipped his hat when I closed the hatch, and offered me a free cherry ice.
Link managed to decant some into 1720 before they spilled over too much. His uniform was saturated, but he still managed a presentation on how visitors.
Deni stood watching Link tame the creatures, puffing on a menthol cigarette. Not sure how, but a handful of butts had got stuck under the tongue of their filthy trainers. I did not say anything. We have had a few brief conversations, but not enough for me to start attacking their dress code.
I took the longer bus route over to the solar fields. Beautiful flowers down there at this time of year. Might ask Mum if she wants to walk round at the weekend.
Plus it is Butter Mouse clip day again. Hooray! Kind of similar to the first one, but that is fine, all good mementos. Cannot believe the policy was to bin them!
I think about her circling around at the Stitch. Is she dreaming now?
Clip: I am in some kind of vehicle, travelling upwards. Flying maybe? The surrounding scenery is similar to that of clip one, but this is a different location. No idea what is going on with the sound.
