Six Of Diamonds

Another fascinating exercise. I like how this is open to interpretation, but will end up in a similar result a million times over. Again, I have no idea how the exercise implants creative ideas into your brain. But once more my task was successful. A flash fiction piece is ready to go.

I think of ripping card when I read this. Could something be ripping elsewhere? Is this where the ideas flow in from? With every month that passes, am I tuning into something with increasing clarity?

Experiments to follow in the next few weeks.

Creation is destruction. I'm not being a silly fish! If you write with a pencil for a hundred hours, you won't have a pencil anymore. Pen ink was not born in the form of pen ink. Something gave blood for your writing.

The most astonishing aspect of destruction is that there are a trillion ways to achieve nothing, and make something along the way.

In tribute, this week we treat our pack of cards like the atoms of the universe. Smash them together, break them apart, and see what creativity is inside. What will emerge, and where does it come from?

So damage your cards. Use this damage to create your art. That's the brief, and the brief is vague.

Don't go too far. We are not making confetti for a mouse. You will need a card shaped card for later.

Examine the remains. Maybe you will find meaning in the slice marks. Perhaps there are messages in the pinholes. What memories do the cigarette burns invoke?

You will end up with less than you started with, but an infinity revealed.

Stay safe with your destruction. Keep those fingers and toes attached. But enjoy yourself. This is your chance for creative purity.

Pwb luc!
