Dear Anna,
Thanks for your email, and we were so glad to hear you got back. Morale dropped in the silence following your departure, and it's a boost for all the crew to know the four of you are safe, and we have a decent route home!
Unfortunately we are still experiencing the strange phenomena, and are struggling to get hold of anyone at command center. Would you be able to pass on the following for us? I think the situation here is stable, but this could escalate into a bigger problem without support.
We are still putting the formal report together, however to summarize the key points:
The tapping noises are ongoing. We think it might be something to do with the gravity levels outside, but we cannot be certain. As promised will continue to monitor and record.
The shadows are still appearing outside. We've continued to look for patterns, and it's undeniable that there are recurring themes in their size and shape. We are treating these results with skepticism, but as above will continue to monitor and record.
The third departure party left seven days ago. We've not heard anything since the shuttle left, but your email assures us there is plenty of time. Still nothing from group one.
The fluctuations in our computer systems remain. Even whilst typing up this message I've had issues with loading times, and text appearing on the screen in draft email boxes. This latter is bizarre, but we've only been here six months. The full electrical impact on the world outside remains unknown.
I almost didn't put this in, but there are still reports from the crew of messages written on the viewing panels. No concrete evidence so far, let alone who might be responsible. Perhaps you could report it from a psychological perspective?
